A “Winlink for Rookies” class is now in the works with priority signups for operators in the EPA section of ARRL. This will be a four week series of meetings, all on Zoom. You do not need to be an ARRL member. There is no fee.

World Radio Day is February 13, 2023
The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, known as UNESCO, declared World Radio Day to be a celebration of the contributions this communications medium can make towards peace. The theme for this years’ World Radio Day is “Radio and Peace”.
Operators plan to to be on the air this year with special event callsigns between Feb. 10 through 13.

New General Question Pool is effective July 1, 2023, through June 30, 2027
The National Conference of Volunteer Examiner Coordinators’ (NCVEC) Question Pool Committee has released the 2023 – 2027 General Class FCC Element 3 Syllabus and Question Pool to the public. The new General Question Pool is effective July 1, 2023, through June 30, 2027. New editions of ARRL licensing publications will be available in May, for exams taken on, or after, July 1, 2023.

Join us for our first Friday monthly meeting on Feb. 3rd at at 7:00 pm. Location: St. James Lutheran Church, 93 Kugler Rd., Limerick, PA. The meeting is open to area hams. Refreshments served.
The presentation at the February PAARC meeting will be devoted to the program Fldigi. There is actually a suite of programs from the same developer but we will concentrate on Fldigi. This will be a participatory program. If you want to participate, bring a laptop computer and an HT. If you have a speaker-mic for your HT bring it along.
If you want to download the program before the meeting, go to http://www.w1hkj.com/files/. Then click on fldigi. The file to download is fldigi-4.1.23_setup.exe for Windows; fldigi-4.1.23.tar.gz for Linux. You will have to unpack and compile the Linux version for your system.
