Join us for an ice cream social at our Friday, Aug. 2nd, 7:00 pm summer gathering. Enjoy vanilla and chocolate ice cream with sundae toppings, and root beer for floats. Our next scheduled first Friday educational meeting at 7:00 pm, with license test at 5:00 pm, will begin again on Sept. 6, 2019. The September meeting topic will be Parks on the Air (POTA) and roving, with Pete/K0BAK presenting. Come and see the amazing rover van he outfitted for maximum contacts on the road.

Updated 7/21: Due to hot weather the PAARC foxhunt of 7/20 has been moved to Sat., 7/27 at 9:00 am. All are welcome to join us and learn about fox hunting (aka transmitter hunt). We start at the Pottsgrove Middle School on 1351 N. Hanover St., Pottstown 19464 N 40 deg., 16.27 min, W 75 deg. 38.15 min. Al (AG3T) and Dori (K3TES) will be the foxes. New General Class Question Pool Released
Effective July 1st
The National Conference of Volunteer Examiner Coordinators (NCVEX) Question Pool Committee has released the 2019 – 2023 FCC Element 3 General Class Question Pool into the public domain. The 2019 – 2023 General Class (Element 3) Question Pool is available in Word, ASCII text, and PDF versions. The new Question Pool is effective for Element 3 exams administered on or after July 1, 2019.
The Question Pool Committee also released on January 6 a revised diagram Figure G7-1 (PDF) (JPG), as part of the new Element 3 Question Pool.

If you’re planning to take your Amateur Radio license test in 2019, take it with the friendly and experienced team at PAARC. We offer tests monthly on most first Fridays at 5:00 pm at St. James Lutheran Church, 93 Kugler Rd., in Limerick, PA, except during the summer months. Test sessions are administered by examiners accredited by the ARRL. 2019 scheduled exam dates: 1/4, 2/1, 4/5, 5/3 (the 3/1 session has been canceled due to bad weather)

Join the Mid-Atlantic Radio Club at their Valley Forge Hamfest on Saturday, July 13, 2019 at the Kimberton Fire Co. Fairgrounds, 762 Pike Springs Rd. (Route 113), in Kimberton, PA. Buyers 8 A.M. / Sellers 7 A.M. Admission $6 (free admission for unlicensed spouse and children of licensed Ham). Seller can choose from an indoor table ($10) or tailgate space ($6). VE test at 10 am.
