At the Nov. 3, 2023 PAARC monthly meeting we held nominations for the Pottstown Area amateur Radio Club (PARC) Board of Directors. Here are the results:
2024 PAARC Board Nominations
During our nomination procedure, two people were nominated for President. PAARC members will vote for their choice via paper ballot at the Dec. 1st meeting, or they may also vote by email by writing to secretary at park dot net. Be sure to include your name and callsign. You will receive a return email acknowledgement of your vote.
President Nominees
– Wes Hammerschmidt, N3HWH (current President)
– Walt Skavinsky, KB3SBC (current VP)
The following 2024 Board nominations were uncontested and will be filled as follows:
– Vice-President: Glenn Nestor, WA3LAB
– Secretary: Melody Bowers, KB3SJR
– Treasurer: Nate Rosenthal, N2ADD
– Board Member: Steve Sobota, Jr., K3ALV

Join us on Friday, Nov. 3, 2023 at 7:00 pm at Saint James Lutheran Church for the PAARC monthly meeting. There will be a presentation by Tim Poth, W3QP on Summits on the Air (SOTA).
Also, at the Nov. meeting we will be taking your nominations for the 2024 PAARC Board for the following positions:
President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and one Executive Board member position. After receiving nominations, we will hold an election at the Dec. 1st meeting for contested positions. Please attend this important meeting, and see a great POTA presentation too! (This is also a good time to renew your membership.)

Join us for the Friday, Oct. 6th monthly meeting at 7:00 pm at St. James Lutheran Church, 93 Kugler Rd. in Limerick, PA. Tim Drager, W3UE will present on upgrading to second generation Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries.
There will be a license exam prior to the meeting. See the License Exam page to determine what you need to bring to the exam session. Sign up by writing to vetesting@paarc.net. Sorry, no walk-ins.

Join us on Friday, May 5th, 2023 at 7:00 pm for the PAARC monthly meeting at 93 Kugler Rd. in Limerick, PA. Ed Breneiser, WA3WSJ will give a presentation on Pedestrian Mobile. If you like and amateur radio and backpacking, QRP, or POTA, you will enjoy this presentation.

Join us for our first Friday monthly meeting on Feb. 3rd at at 7:00 pm. Location: St. James Lutheran Church, 93 Kugler Rd., Limerick, PA. The meeting is open to area hams. Refreshments served.
The presentation at the February PAARC meeting will be devoted to the program Fldigi. There is actually a suite of programs from the same developer but we will concentrate on Fldigi. This will be a participatory program. If you want to participate, bring a laptop computer and an HT. If you have a speaker-mic for your HT bring it along.
If you want to download the program before the meeting, go to http://www.w1hkj.com/files/. Then click on fldigi. The file to download is fldigi-4.1.23_setup.exe for Windows; fldigi-4.1.23.tar.gz for Linux. You will have to unpack and compile the Linux version for your system.
