Club Meeting on Feb. 5th

The 7:00 pm meeting presentation on Friday, Feb. 5th will feature Jim/KJ3P on the role of the ARRL Official Observer (OO). The meeting location is St. James Lutheran Church, at the intersection of Swamp Pike and Kugler Rd.

There will be an Amateur Radio license exam session at 5:00 pm at this same location. Sign up in advance and review what to bring in the post below. Pre-register for the test by sending an email request to VETesting@PAARC.NET.

The March meeting will feature member Pete Kobak/K0BAK on getting started on operating mobile in HF and VHF contests.

Amateur Radio License Exam on Feb 5th

PAARC will offer an Amateur Radio License testing session on Friday, February 5th, 2015 at 5:00 pm, before our regular First Friday meeting at St. James Lutheran Church, 93 Kugler Rd., (intersection of Swamp Pike & Kugler Rd.) Limerick, PA 19468.
Go for your license or try for an upgrade.

You can pre-register for the test by sending an email request to VETesting@PAARC.NET.

What to Bring to an Exam Session

– Two forms of ID, or 1 photo ID
– Test fee of $15.00
– If upgrading, your current license and a copy (we cannot make copies at the session), and any current valid CSCE’s (original and one copy)
– Two or more pencils
– Calculator, if desired

All test sessions administered by examiners accredited by The American Radio Relay League, Inc.

December 4th Club Meeting

The 7:00 pm meeting presentation is experimental airplanes, with Fred – KB3YAY.
Meeting location: St. James Lutheran Church, at the intersection of Swamp Pike and Kugler Rd.

LGS Drill on Nov. 17th

The Limerick drill will take place on Nov. 17th.
The repeater usage is as follows:

  • Montco on 2 meter
  • Berks on 440 as standby only
  • Sandbaggers on 220

Thank you all in advance for allowing these groups use our bandwidth. This is a public service event, and although it benefits Exelon, the skills carry over to other events.
