Oct. 3: Space Weather with Ron, WA3VEE

Sept. 5: SKYWARN Training with WX3I

We welcome members and friends to join us on Friday, Sept. 5th for SKYWARN training at 7:00 pm, with Lou Ruh, WX3I. We meet at St. James Lutheran Church, 93 Kugler Rd. (Swamp Pike and Kugler Rd.) in Limerick, PA. This training will empower you to become a weather spotter for the National Weather Service. Refreshments will be served.

June 6 meeting: Ice Cream Social

Join us for an ice cream social at our Friday, June 6, 2025 gathering at 7:00 pm. Enjoy vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry ice cream with sundae toppings, and root beer for floats at St. James Luthern Church, 93 Kugler Rd. in Limerick.  The is our last gathering until we meet again in September 

Our next scheduled first Friday educational meeting will be on Sept. 5, 2025 at 7:00 pm, with license test at 5:00 pm. The September meeting topic is SKYWARN, with Lou Rou, W3XI. 

May 2 Meeting: AM & FM Broadcasting Signals, with KB3WXX

Join us on Friday, May 2, at 7:00 pm for the PAARC monthly meeting at St. James Lutheran Church, 93 Kugler Rd. in Limerick, PA. Topics include: Factors affecting transmission and reception of MW (AM) and FM signals, directional AM transmitting antenna configurations, coverage maps and signal contours, FCC classes of AM and FM stations, clear channel stations, AM DX receivers, indoor AM receiving antennas, outdoor receiving antennas and broadcast antenna farms (including Roxborough), and atmospheric factors affecting reception.   It will also cover FM translators, repeaters, boosters and Low-Power FM (LPFM), and playback of 1960’s top 40 radio jingles and samples of DJ radio shows (airchecks) and operational information on WRDV-FM radio station based in Hatboro.  All are welcome.
