Please join us on Friday, Feb. 2nd at 7:00pm for our monthly meeting at St. James Lutheran Church, 93 Kugler Rd. in Limerick, PA. The evening’s presentation is “Radiation and You,” given by Dr. Ron Bellamy, KC3ACL. This talk will cover the basic principles of natural and manmade radiation, and the effects on the human body. Regulatory limits and how they apply to nuclear power stations like Limerick will be explained. The basic operating principles of a nuclear reactor, how it generates power, and the radiation it produces, will be discussed.
Dr. Bellamy is the President of the International Society for Nuclear Air Treatment Technologies, and has worked in this field for over five decades.
