The Education Alliance for Amateur Radio (EAAR) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established in 2016. Our mission is to promote STEM education by introducing youth and communities to amateur radio. Our team comprises FCC-licensed amateur radio operators, ARRL Registered License Instructors, and BSA Radio Merit Badge Counselors.

Learn about drone operations, FAA rules, and emerging technology (weather permitting).
Scouts can complete the Radio Merit Badge in two steps:
Using the resources provided in our Google Classroom, Scouts should complete requirements 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, and 9a before attending Field Day.
Bring the completed workbook and a signed blue card to the event. A certified counselor will review the work and guide Scouts through hands-on activities, including operating a real amateur radio station and participating in a foxhunt.
