PAARC at 4H Fair – Aug. 12 & 13

PAARC will be an exhibitor at the Montgomery County 4H Fair once again. Ed McCoy/N3WXW is setting up the K3ZMC demo station to introduce amateur radio to the large number of people, young and old, at the fair.  Join us to operate, or come out to see the fair and stop by to say hello.  If you’d like to be a radio operator for either day please email Ed McCoy/N3WXW. Ed will be onsite about 8 am on both Fri. and Sat. The club will demo  20M and 40M phone. Jerry/WA2TTI will have a second demo station. The 4-H Center is located at 1015 Bridge Road, Creamery PA 19426.

PAARC will operate on these days and times:
– Friday August 12, 9:30 am – 9:00 pm
– Saturday, August 13, 9:30 am – 4:00pm

The 4-H Fair is the culmination of the 4-H project year for Montgomery County 4-H members. This is their opportunity to show their families, friends and the public their achievements throughout the year. Other 4-H clubs also have their projects on display and are also on hand to promote 4-H and their clubs. A giant Fabric Sale is ongoing during the fair and is coordinated by the Creamery Crafters 4-H club.
In addition to the 4-H projects, there are demonstrations, contests, games, music, an Open Pet Show and of course – all sorts of delicious food – including the World’s Largest Sausage Patty. Past demos included the Graterford Mounted Patrol, Canine Agility, Parade of Horse Breeds, and the 4-H Equine Drill Team to name a few. The Daisy Jug Band, a SE PA favorite, performs on Friday evening. The public is also encouraged to enter their projects into the Open Classes categories. You do not need to be a Montgomery Co. resident! This is a great opportunity to show off your talents! There are classes for all types of gardening, sewing, cooking, crafts, art, photography and more! The Open Classes are for all ages. Learn more at the 4H Fair website.
